for and giving opinion
(Menanyakan dan memberi pendapat)
An opinion
is a judgment of belief about somebody or something which is not based on
knowledge. The social fucntion of asking for and giving opinion and idea is to
keep interpersonal relationship in asking for and giving opinion or idea. (sebuah
opini adalah sebuah penilaian dari kepercayaan tentang seseorang atau sesuatu
berdasarkan pengetahuan. Fungsi sosial dari menanyakan dan memberi pendapat dan
ide adalah untuk menjaga hubungan dan meminta dan memeberi pendapat atau ide).

Example:
1. Saskia : What’s wrong with you? You look serious.
Vina : Look at this picture! I
think this classroom is not good for studying. It needs renovation.
Saskia : I agree with you. The
condition of this classroom makes the students uncomfortable.
2. Dedy : What do you think of our new classroom?
Rusian : I like this class because
it has an air conditioner. We can enjoy studying.
Dedy : I don’t agree with you. The air
conditioner makes our skin dry. In my opinion, the classroom which has some windows
is the best one. We can get the fresh air.
